Kevin Childs is an Assistant Professor - Fixed Term in the Department of Plant Biology at Michigan State University. He is also a member of the Center for Genomics-Enabled Plant Science and the Director of the Genomics Core Facility.  Kevin has a Ph.D. in Plant Physiology from Texas A&M University, an MS in Computer Science from Texas A&M University and a BS in Botany from the University of Michigan.  Kevin has worked in genomics for more than 15 years and has more than 10 years of experience in bioinformatics.  He is an expert in gene expression analysis and has been involved in the assembly and annotation of numerous plant, fungal and oomycete genomes.  Please visit the Childs Lab website for information about Kevin’s research program.
