Shari Tjugum-Holland is a Research Assistant II/S at MSU. She obtained a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Molecular biology and Scandinavian Studies in 1991. After graduation she worked as an associate research specialist in the bacteriology department at UW-Madison. In 1992 she worked as a Research Assitant at Agrigentics (Now division of Mycogen Plant Sciences) applying molecular biological techniques for gene expression studies in plants. In 2000 she joined the DNA sequencing facility in the department of PRL where she assisted in the large scale sequencing of Arabodopsis cDNA’s and developed the fragment analysis service. She currently works in the RTSF Genomics Core running the custom and high throughput sequencing, fragment analysis , and NGS services.
