Long Read Sequence Analysis Forum - Genome Assembly and Assessment

11 AM to 12 PM, 247 Plant Biology Building
Robert VanBuren, Assistant Professor, Horticulture Department
Jose Planta, Postdoctoral Research Assistant, Plant Biology Department

Long read sequence analysis protocols are changing quickly.  This forum is meant to provoke discussion and provide direction on software methods.  Bob VanBuren and Jose Planta will start the discussion with examples of genome assemblies using a number of different current assembly software.  This is an opportunity to ask questions and share experiences about the strategies that are currently in favor for genome assembly with the latest long read technology.
